Central PA Notary is operated by Max Charles Roland, a Pennsylvania notary public. This policy explains the information I receive when you call, text, email, or complete an appointment; why I use it; which records Pennsylvania law requires; and what you can ask me to review or delete.
Scheduling information I collect
This website does not use public contact, quote, or appointment forms. When you call, text, or email, I receive only the information you choose to send. Scheduling usually requires your name and contact details, town or appointment location, prepared document type, number of signers, preferred time, and any necessary access, witness, printing, scanback, shipping, or deadline details.
Please do not send a full government ID image, full ID number, Social Security number, financial account number, medical record, or complete sensitive document through ordinary text or email unless I have specifically confirmed an authorized secure process for the assignment.
How I use scheduling information
Information you provide is used to:
- Respond to quote and appointment requests
- Schedule, confirm, and prepare for notary appointments
- Communicate a readiness checklist and clear advance quote
- Coordinate with an authorized attorney, lender, title company, facility, platform, or other hiring party when needed for the requested appointment
- Maintain limited business records for scheduling, receipts, accounting, and resolving concerns
I do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.
Identification handling
Identification is inspected to establish identity for a notarial act. I do not retain a customer's identification credential or a copy of it unless retention is permitted by law or an authorized assignment process. Full ID numbers, Social Security numbers, biometric data, and other prohibited personally identifiable information are not entered in my notary journal.
Pennsylvania notary journal
Pennsylvania law requires me to make a contemporaneous journal entry for each notarial act. Required entries include the date and time, a description of the record and type of act, the signer's full name and address, the identification method and a brief credential description when applicable, and the fee charged. The journal is a required notary record; it is not a copy of the signed document.
Pennsylvania law also provides for inspection and certified-copy requests for journal entries. I therefore cannot promise deletion or confidentiality of information that the law requires the journal to contain or makes subject to a lawful request.
Document and loan-package handling
Documents are used only to prepare for, complete, quality-check, and return the requested assignment. Loan packages follow the hiring party's written printing, scanback, shipping, and return instructions. Working copies are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the assignment and are then removed from working devices or disposed of, unless law, contract, litigation hold, or an authorized platform requires retention.
Do not send complete document contents through ordinary text or email when a secure transfer method is available. I do not keep copies of customer documents merely for marketing, profiling, or future solicitation.
Remote online notarization records
Remote online notarization uses approved communication technology that may perform credential analysis and identity proofing. Pennsylvania requires the audio-video recording of a remote notarization to be retained for at least ten years by the notary or a designated repository. The provider may also retain identity-proofing and transaction records under its own privacy policy and legal duties.
Service providers and authorized parties
I may use normal business tools such as phone, text messaging, email, calendar, secure document transfer, shipping, accounting, or approved remote-notarization services. Information is shared only as reasonably needed to operate those tools, complete the requested appointment, follow hiring-party instructions, prevent fraud, resolve a concern, or comply with law.
Analytics and website usage
This website uses Google Analytics to help me understand how people find and use the site and how the website performs. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect technical and usage information such as pages viewed, referring pages or sources, approximate location derived from network or device information, browser and device information, and interactions with the website.
Google Analytics is used for website measurement. It is not used to collect notary-journal information, document contents, signer identification information, or confidential appointment details. Google processes analytics information under its own policies. Learn more in Google’s explanation of how it uses information from sites that use its services.
Data retention
Optional inquiry, scheduling, and working-document information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the appointment, accounting, dispute resolution, or an applicable contractual requirement. Required notary journals, remote-session recordings, and other legally mandated records follow their separate statutory or regulatory retention and production rules.
Your choices
You may ask me to review, correct, or delete optional contact information by emailing contact@centralpanotary.com. I will honor the request when no legal, contractual, accounting, fraud-prevention, litigation-hold, or recordkeeping duty requires the information. You may also ask me to stop non-required follow-up calls, texts, or emails.
Security limits
I use reasonable measures and minimize unnecessary collection and retention, but no phone, email, text, device, platform, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact me promptly if you believe information connected with an appointment was sent to the wrong place, lost, or exposed.
Children's privacy
Services are intended for adults seeking notary and signing services. This website is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as laws, services, or business tools change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
