Rush & after-hours

  • If no act is completed, no notarial-act fee is charged
Your receipt separates: notarial fee (commonly $0) + mobile travel / reserved-time service + approved timing or administrative charges + actual shipping cost = the quoted total you approved.

Honest answers—even when the answer is no

If I cannot notarize it, I will explain why

I will not complete a notarization just to collect a fee. If identity, willingness, awareness, document readiness, personal appearance, the certificate, or another legal requirement is missing, I will pause and explain the practical next step in plain English.

No acceptable identification

I can explain the identification issue and whether a legally qualified credible witness may be worth discussing. I cannot guarantee that option before checking the facts.

Missing or unclear notarial wording

I will ask you to contact the document preparer, attorney, or receiving organization so they can identify the required act or provide the proper certificate.

Incomplete document or absent signer

I can reschedule after the document is complete and every required signer and witness is available.

A copy I am not allowed to certify

I will direct you to the government office or records custodian that can issue an official certified copy.

Pressure, confusion, or unwillingness

I will stop rather than pressure the signer. Families can speak with the attorney, social worker, care team, or receiving party before trying again.

Remote notarization is not accepted

I will suggest confirming acceptance with the receiving party and, when appropriate, discuss an in-person appointment instead.
