Acceptable identification is required. Pennsylvania permits multiple methods of establishing identity, including qualifying identification credentials, personal knowledge, or a credible witness when permitted by law. Current, unexpired passport and driver or nondriver identification credentials may qualify, including permitted electronic and readable foreign equivalents. Pennsylvania’s March 28, 2026 regulations also identify certain military, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, United States Department of Homeland Security, Social Security, Pennsylvania State or State-related university, Pennsylvania medical marijuana, and qualifying consular credentials that may be satisfactory depending on the credential and circumstances. No credential is automatically accepted in every situation. Call or text before the appointment if you are unsure what identification the signer has available.

Every signer involved in the notarial act must personally appear as required for that act, be properly identified, and communicate directly with the notary. Some documents must be signed in the notary’s presence, while an acknowledgment may involve a signature made beforehand.

Yes. Mobile appointments may be scheduled at homes, offices, hospitals, nursing facilities, care settings, real estate offices, and agreed public locations when available.

Mobile visits can be requested at hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and similar care settings. The signer must be willing, able to communicate directly with me, properly identified, and able to participate in the notarial act without visible pressure or coercion.

Vehicle title signature notarization can be requested by appointment. Plates, registration, title transfer processing, and PennDOT tag agent services are not provided.

Remote online notarization can be requested for eligible documents and signers. Confirm that the receiving party will accept a remotely notarized document before scheduling.
